Terms of Service Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging the services of The Maids ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Agreement"). Please read this Agreement carefully before scheduling any services.

2. Services

2.1 Service Description

The Company provides residential and commercial cleaning services as detailed in our service menu. The specific services to be performed will be agreed upon prior to each cleaning appointment.

2.2 Service Availability

Services are available within our designated service areas during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Additional fees may apply for services requested outside these hours.

3. Scheduling and Cancellation

3.1 Appointments

All services must be scheduled in advance. We will confirm your appointment via email or phone.

3.2 Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service
  • Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service
  • The Company reserves the right to charge the full service fee for repeated late cancellations

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Fees

  • Pricing is based on our current rate schedule
  • Additional charges may apply for extra services, heavy cleaning, or special circumstances
  • Rates are subject to change with 30 days' notice

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the time of service
  • We accept major credit cards, cash, and electronic payments
  • Recurring service clients may establish automatic payment arrangements

5. Service Guarantee

5.1 Quality Assurance

We guarantee our work and will address any concerns within 24 hours of service completion.

5.2 Limitations

  • Pre-existing damage or permanent staining
  • Areas or items not included in the agreed-upon service scope
  • Damage caused by incorrect information about surfaces or materials

6. Client Responsibilities

6.1 Access and Safety

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the service location
  • Secure pets during service
  • Inform us of any security systems or access requirements
  • Ensure working utilities (water, electricity) are available

6.2 Communication

Inform us of:

  • Special cleaning requirements
  • Delicate or valuable items
  • Areas to avoid
  • Security or health concerns

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 Insurance Coverage

We maintain comprehensive business insurance, including:

  • General liability insurance
  • Workers' compensation
  • Property damage coverage

7.2 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided, except where prohibited by law.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8.1 Information Collection

We collect and maintain client information necessary for service delivery and billing purposes.

8.2 Data Protection

  • Client information is protected according to applicable privacy laws
  • We do not sell or share client information with third parties
  • Security measures are in place to protect client data

9. Termination

9.1 By Client

You may terminate services at any time with written notice, subject to payment for services rendered.

9.2 By Company

We reserve the right to terminate services for:

  • Non-payment
  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Repeated cancellations
  • Inappropriate behavior toward staff

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Oregon. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of  Marion County, Oregon.

13. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
